Dr. James Shmalo

James Shmalo M.D., a native of Cincinnati, Ohio, received his bachelor of science degree in Anthropology-Zoology from the University of Michigan in 1998 before receiving his M.D. from Ohio State in 2002. He then moved to Indianapolis to do his pediatrics residency at Riley Hospital, which he completed in 2005. He became board certified in Pediatrics in 2005 and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He had been in private practice in Greenwood for 6 ½ years before joining Pediatric Associates of Avon.

When he is not practicing medicine he enjoys spending time with his wife Marcy and twin toddlers Andrew and Ella, playing piano, watching sports (especially Michigan football), staying active, and travelling.

Dr. Eve Gill

Dr. Eve Gill

Dr. Eve Gill is a member of the Cardinal Ritter High School class of 1989. After graduating from Notre Dame University with High Honors in 1993, Dr. Gill attended the Indiana University School of Medicine, where she received her degree in 1997. She completed her pediatric residency at Methodist Hospital, where she was Chief Pediatric Resident in her last year. Dr. Gill is board certified in Pediatrics, and is a member of AAP, IMSA, and Phi Betta Kappa.

Dr. Gill is married with four children, and is an active member of St. Michael Parish in Indianapolis.

Dr. Jason Cosgrove

Dr. Jason Cosgrove

Dr. Jason Cosgrove received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Indiana University in 1999, Masters of Science in Biology from Purdue University in 2000, and Masters of Science in Physiology from Indiana University in 2002. Dr. Jason attended Indiana University School of Medicine, where he received his Doctor of Medicine in 2005. He completed his pediatric residency at Riley Children’s Hospital in 2008. Dr. Jason is board certified in Pediatrics, is a member of American Academy of Pediatrics, and a volunteer Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, Indiana University School of Medicine.

Dr. Jason is married to his wife, Frances. He has two sons, Carter and Cy. He and Frances enjoy spending most of their free time watching their boys participate in basketball, baseball and soccer to name a few. He enjoys coaching many of their teams. When not watching his boys, he enjoys watching and attending other sporting events and grilling!
